Released in a season that saw the Montreal Canadiens reign as the National Hockey League's supreme team for the final time during the decade of the 1970's, winning the Stanley Cup for the sixth time in the ten (10) year period over the New York Rangers, offered here is this collection of seventeen (17) PSA graded 1978-79 hockey cards with 16 cards that have earned the company's high-grade, near perfect mark of MINT 9 after their respective inspections by the evaluators. Paced by rookie cards in the form of Dave Taylor and Brian Sutter, two of the key first-year cardboard examples found within the 396-card checklist. For the rest of the group, notables include All-Star cards of both Clark Gillies and Borje Salming, a Scoring Leaders card picturing Guy Lafleur, Brian Trottier and Darryl Sittler, star cards of Brian Glennie, Bernie Parent (PSA 8) and Glenn "Chico" Resch and finally, a copy of the Islanders team checklist card. For the rest of the group, included are examples of 77-Hart, 135-Boldirev, 139-Sedlbauer, 177-Duguay, 281-Hamel, 298-Palmer, 308-Bragnalo and 314-Williams. All housed in a PSA holders with most of a recent style while a couple of older ones are mixed in as well, all remain in excellent condition with just light scratches and scuffs being observed over most. Overall, the group makes for an excellent addition to one's collection or is a great grouping for those looking to start a high-grade assembly of their own.
