Sharing his views on the game regarding coaching and playing strategies, superstar Ted Kennedy - generally regarded as the best face-off man in history, wrote an intriguing essay in 1960, sharing his experiences as a five-time Stanley Cup champion. We offer the original manuscript. Featuring six typed pages with notations apparently made in Kennedy's hand, there is also 3 pages with handwritten notes and an additional group of 3 typed pages with handwritten notations regarding a speech Kennedy gave on "Stewardship or one's responsibility to their church/team". Lastly, there is a Penticton Recreation Commission bulletin from 1960 mentioning the coaching clinic where Kennedy gave this speech. The pages all show wear from handling/age. This is a unique manuscript from one of the Toronto Maple Leafs' greatest players.
