A key cog of the Maple Leafs blueline during the 2000s and early-2010s, Tomas Kaberle would play a total of 878 games over 12 years with the blue and white, becoming a fan favourite over that time and being named to the All-Star Game on four (4) occasions. Named to the final roster for the 2017 Rogers NHL Centennial Classic Alumni Game between the Maple Leafs alumni and Detroit Red Wings alumni that was held in Toronto on New Years Eve as part of the lead up to the main event on New Years Day, offered here, is this Maple Leafs alumni jersey issued to Kaberle for the contest. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed inside the collar, both NHL shield and Reebok crests adorn the front and reverse necklines of the tie-neck style garment respectively. Decorated over the front with a classic Maple Leafs team crest that has "100" and other details embroidered into it instead of the usual "Toronto Maple Leafs" (the franchise was celebrating its 100th anniversary), the all-important 2017 Centennial Classic Alumni Game event patch has been added over the right shoulder while a distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been placed over the left breast. Having had Kaberle's number "15" sewn to the sleeves and verso in single layer white twill numerals, "Kaberle" is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Issued but never worn, the jersey shows no obvious signs of wear and remains in beautiful condition while showcasing pro on-ice style elements such as a fight strap on the interior and reinforced elbows. A Maple Leafs LOA will accompany the piece.
