A product of the London Knights who won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships, Alex Formention would go on to be selected 47th overall by the Ottawa Senators at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. A Spangler Cup champion with HC Ambrì-Piotta in 2022, offered here is this photo-matched Ottawa Senators jersey worn by Formenton during the 2017-18 pre-season. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "56" is affixed to the inner collar while NHL shield and Adidas crests have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that has both textured and embroidered details throughout, the National Hockey League's 100th anniversary patch has been added to the right sleeve while matching alternate logo crests reside over each shoulder. Having had Formenton's number "59" sewn to the sleeves and verso in perforated printed twill numerals, "Formenton" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are found over the front and reverse while board burns are observed over both sleeves. With a pair of fabric backed team repairs/reinforcements felt inside the right sleeve, a red coloured board paint transfer is present over the right shoulder seam, numerous loose threads are found on the interior as well. Having had a Senators Game-Worn team tag serial numbered "00000240" sewn over top of the fight strap on the interior, it should be noted that the accompanying team COA lists the jersey as a "2017-18 Regular Season - Game-Issued" offering despite the wear that is seen. Additionally, it is worth pointing out that the jersey was only worn by Formenton during the pre-season as he only played one (1) regular season contest which was at home in the red jersey. Regarding the aforementioned photo-matches, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #856114194 (September 30th, 2017 vs Montreal) to the mark under the NHL shield, the red colours paint transfer on his right shoulder seam and to numerous loose threads throughout the crest and numbers on both sleeves while Getty Image #856900828 from the same pre-season game clearly shows the stick mark under the front crest.
