Drafted by Los Angeles before three strong junior seasons that included scoring 191 points in 1985-86 for Hull in the Q, Luc Robitaille spent the majority of his HOF career in Hollywood, spread over three different stints. Now serving as Los Angeles' President, offered here, we present this stick used by the 1987 Calder Memorial winner during his rookie era in the NHL in the mid-to-late-1980s, circa 1986-89. A KOHO made model with “Robitaille” stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains Luc's original tape job of black over the lightly shaved handle/knob and blade. With both red coloured striping accent stickers present and intact over the shaft, the vintage lumber shows nice game-use via dark marks extending over the entire length of the shaft on both sides with more scattered puck and stick marks over the lower shaft and heel as well. Sporting a factory stamp reading "131711" on the underside near the heel, a white scuff is seen over the "Robitaille" stamp while red post paint transfer marks are spotted over the backhand side of the lower shaft as well. With puck marks over both sides of the blade tape, an additional red post paint mark is found on the backhand while the underside is worn and slightly torn in the middle. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009, Robitaille would score over 80 points in each of his first eight NHL seasons, including four that topped the 100-point plateau.
