Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Arguably hockey's most feared enforcer during his tenure, Bob Probert could not only control the competition with his fists, he could put the puck in the net. The skilled tough guy had a career high 62 points in 1987-88, and five seasons of scoring 30 points or more. This Red Wings jersey has been signed by the deceased star, and features a desirable "3000 PIM" notation. A CCM model with "XXL" size tagging along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, Probert has signed the reverse "2" in blue marker, with the inscription beneath along with "3/11/00" (the date of the game Probert climbed over 3000 PIM). The signature is a bit light due to a weak marker. A JSA Auction LOA will accompany.
