Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
The dawn of the Nashville Predators’ third season took place in the Land of the Rising Sun. As part of GameONe Japan, Nashville split a two-game series against Jaromir Jagr and the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Saitama Super Arena outside of Tokyo, Japan, on October 7th and 8th. The two games drew the two largest crowds ever to witness hockey games in Japan (13,849 for the first game and 13,426 for the second game). This signed Predators alternate captain's jersey was worn by Patric Kjellberg in the Oct 7th match. A clipped CCM tag remains affixed to the collar with a size "56" fly tag, with embroidered NHL and KOHO crests on the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. Styled with an attractive Preds team crest along with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, alternate crests also grace each shoulder, with the Japan ONe 2000 crest to the right breast. Worn for a single contest, there are a few stick marks to the lower right sleeve. Kjellberg has signed the reverse "0" in blue marker, with the signature displaying nicely. A COA from the NHL will accompany.
