Hitting .300 or better in more than half of his 24 seasons as a player, Pete Rose retired with a .303 lifetime average, with his number finally retired by the Reds in 2016. Nicknamed "Charlie Hustle" and is the all-time MLB leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215) and outs (10,328) Winning a total of three (3) World Series', three (3) batting titles, one (1) Most Valuable Player Award, two (2) Gold Gloves and the Rookie of the Year Award, offered here is this collection of memorabilia signed by Rose. Paced by a limited-edition Montreal Expos jersey signed by Rose, the powder blue button-up style offering measures out to roughly a size "50" and is decorated over the front with an Expos team crest while Rose's number "14" is found over both the front and reverse. Having had "Rose" spelt out over the upper reverse, "4000th Hit - April 13th 1984" is embroidered underneath the number on the front while "Limited Edition #75/500" is found on the opposite side near the bottom. Signed by Rose with a blue marker ink signature that displays without issue, annotations reading "Hit #4000 - 4/13/84" and "Charlie Hustle" are found underneath in matching ink and condition. Also including a Rawlings Pro model bat signed by Rose, the 34" stick remains in excellent condition as it is still housed in its original plastic bag from Rawlings. Signed by Rose over the barrel with a black marker ink signature, the autograph includes annotations reading "#4256" and "Hit King" while the signature is personalized with "Doug, A Great Fan" in matching ink. Finally, the item of the collection is a framed 11" x 16" print by Wang Haiyan depicting Rose's 4192nd hit. Signed by Rose with a silver marker signature that displays well and includes date and hit number annotations, the artist has signed over the bottom of the piece and numbered it "51/1985". Housed in a simple frame that shows light wear and measures out to full dimensions of 16 1/4" x 20 1/2". A JSA Auction LOA will accompany the lot.
