Originally drafted 54th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1994 NHL Entry Draft after completing his junior hockey career with the Kamloops Blazers, Chris Murray would play a total of 242 National Hockey League games over six (6) years before having to retire due to injury. Hailing from the 1996-97 season, his final campaign wearing the famed bleu, blanc et rouge of Les Canadiens, we present this Canadiens jersey worn by Murray. Made by CCM, a single size "56" fly tag is affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with Montreal's famed "CH" crest in layered tackle twill, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have had Murray's number "22" sewn to them in dual layer blue-over-red tackle twill numerals while "Murray" is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting light game-wear, stick marks are observed over both sleeves as well as over the lower front and lower reverse while some very light pilling is present on the interior around the elbows and a couple of popped seams are seen around the collar.. A Canadiens team letter signed by Rejean Houle will accompany the piece.
