The team patch on the inside hem states "Los Angeles Kings 2001-02 Set 1,” confirmed with the circled initials from equipment manager Peter Millar. The team LOA certifies that the "white Set 1 jersey, registered into The MeiGrade System, was worn by Steve Heinze during the 2001-2002 National Hockey League regular season." The right breast features an "LA 2002 NHL All-Star Game" patch, and the left breast has an "AM" patch. The right shoulder area displays some game marks, including a board burn and a material-backed team repair. The lower right sleeve has a dozen or so game marks, including an unrepaired cut. The lower left sleeve exhibits game marks, including an unrepaired board burn and unrepaired cut. There are a dozen or so game marks on the entire left sleeve. On the front of the jersey, next to the "LA" on the team's logo, there is a small unrepaired cut, while both the front and back of the jersey show half a dozen or so game marks. The number "5" on the back of the jersey has two noticeable scratches, while the "7" has one scratch. The fight strap has salt and signs of washing, with some rust.
