Operating between 1996 and 2001, the Kentucky Thoroughblades would win back-to-back division titles in 2000 and 2001 before relocating and boast an alumni list that includes Zdeno Chara, Evgeni Nabokov, Jonathan Cheechoo and Miikka Kiprusoff among others. Offered here, is this Thoroughblades jersey worn by Miroslav Zalesak during the 2000-01 season, the team’s final season in Kentucky. Made by SP, both size “54” and SP labels are affixed to the inner collar while AHL league patches adorn the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Also accented over the reverse hem with an embroidered SP logo, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Thoroughblades team crest that showcases embroidered details while matching alternate logo crests graze over each shoulder. Having had a sponsorship patch added over the right breast, the sleeves and verso have had Zalesak's number “10” sewn to them in tri-layer tackle twill numerals while “Zalesak” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting game-wear via stick marks and board burns to each sleeve, a red coloured paint transfer is present over the left elbow and a small unrepaired hole is observed at the lower reverse. Found with light pilling on the interior and a pair over spot stains above the front crest, a Thoroughblades team LOA will accompany the piece.
