Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
A Stanley Cup champion with the Dallas Stars in 1999 and of course a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee in 2011, Ed Belfour did and won it all during his 963 game NHL career and by the end of it would win a total of 484 contests. Offered here, and hailing from the personal collection of “Eddie the Eagle” is this pair of pro stock Reebok Premier Series II goalie pads that were used and signed by Belfour. All white in colour with black identifiers over the front and sides, the pads have “Ed Belfour” embroidered into the outside of each boot channel with Belfour having added his signature in the same area of both pads in black marker ink that has oxidized over time but still displays well. With all the strapping, elastics and buckles intact, the pads display just very light signs of each through a couple of puck marks and very very light soiling. As such, due to the light use, it could be possible that Belfour used the pads at some point at the end of his playing career or during his time as a goaltending consultant with the St. Louis Blues. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA signed by Belfour will accompany.
