Selected 12th overall by the Washington Capitals in 2002, Steve Eminger played in parts of five seasons in the US capital, with additional time with five other teams. The Woodbridge native concluded his professional career in the AHL, in 2015-16. The 2011-12 NHL season was kicked off with a series of four “NHL Premiere” games played in Europe, including Anaheim vs Buffalo in Helsinki and LA vs the Rangers in Stockholm on Oct 7th, followed by Anaheim vs the Rangers in Stockholm and Buffalo vs LA in Berlin on Oct 8th. From the Rangers vs Kings match on Oct 7th, we have the Rangers jersey worn by Steve Eminger. Made by Reebok, a label displaying “58” sizing is affixed to the inner collar, with a Rangers barcode placed above while the crests for the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and back necklines of the tie-neck garment respectively. Decorated over the front with “Rangers” going diagonally across the chest in blue-over-red drop-shadow tackle twill, the all-important “NHL Premier 2011” patch resides over the right shoulder. The sleeves and verso have "44” sewn on in matching drop-shadow style with “Eminger” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate on the upper reverse. On the interior, “10/7” is handwritten on the fight strap. Worn for a single contest, the jersey sports just light use with a few dark marks to each sleeve, along with a small slit above the numbers on the left sleeve. A hologram from Steiner is affixed to the collar, with an LOA to accompany (the hologram number on the jersey does not match the LOA, but the Rangers bar code number does match).
