A two-time Stanley Cup champion with both Carolina and Pittsburgh, Craig Adams was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in 1996, and dressed for three different NHL clubs throughout his career. From his days in Pittsburgh, we have a Penguins third jersey worn by the Calgary native in 2011-12. Made by Reebok and a near direct copy of the jerseys worn by the Penguins in the 2011 Winter Classic, a single size “56” tag is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled over the front with a vintage style Penguins team crest in felt with embroidered details, the sleeves and verso of the garment has been accented with "27” is dual layer cream-over-baby blue tackle twill numerals while “Adams” is spelt out in single layer cream coloured twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Game-wear is especially light, with just a dark mark to the left sleeve and a burn mark and spot of red paint transfer near the left cuff. Getty Image #139271187 (Feb 12, 2012) has been matched to the thread bumps visible on the lower left of the "7" and middle right section of the "2" of "27" on the right sleeve, while Getty Image #137550879 (Jan 20, 2012) has been matched to the dark mark on the striping band on the left sleeve. The Penguins team patch denoting the jersey as a “2011-2012 Third Jersey Game Jersey” and serial numbered “PP#T21682” is sewn inside the rear hem. Signed on the inside of the fight strap by Penguins equipment manager Dana Heinze (bleeding through the other side), a matching Penguins COA will accompany.
