One of the greatest playoff performers in the history of the National Hockey League, scoring 80 of his 459 career goals during the postseason, Claude Lemieux was never afraid to impose his will on opponents and won a total of four (4) Stanley Cup’s in his lengthy 21-year NHL career. Offered here, from his half season stint in Texas as a member of the Dallas Stars, is this jersey worn by Lemieux during a portion of the 2002-03 season. Made by CCM, both size “58” and “Made in Canada” designations are affixed to the inner collar while a CCM patch resides over the reverse neckline. Accented with an NHL shield logo that has been embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Stars team crest that features both textured and embroidered details while matching alternate logo resides reside over each shoulder. Having had Claude’s number “32” sewn to the sleeves and verso in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals, “Lemieux” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn for just a handful of games, the jersey exhibits good game-wear in the form of stick marks over the front, lower front, reverse and both sleeves with board burns observed in the same areas. Additionally, wear is found via a couple of blue coloured paint transfers over the right arm and right armpit, sweat and spot staining around and a team repair on the right side of the reverse as well. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered “A07660” sewn inside the reverse hem, with the stock number penned to the fight strap in black marker as well, a matching MeiGray LOA and COR will accompany the piece.
