Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Scoring just under a-point-a-game throughout his 1,280 contests spread over parts of 21 NHL seasons, Jean Ratelle was a two-time Lady Byng winner, representing his nation at the famous Canada-Russia Series in 1972. From his time with the Boston Bruins in the mid-to-late-1970s, circa 1977-79, we have a stick used by the HOFer. A Sher-Wood PMP model with "Ratelle" and "10" stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains the original black tape to the blade and white ribbed pattern to the handle. Great game-use is exhibited with wear to the taped section of blade, with the underside worn, with a small crack to the blade beneath the tape. There is also additional wear to the shaft and taped handle.
