Originally nicknamed "Charlie" after Charles Manson during the early part of his career in St Louis by teammate Brian Sutter due to his aggressive play and supposed resemblance, Doug Gilmour's nickname eventually morphed into "killer", and it stuck throughout his career. This signed stick was used by Gilmour in the late-1990s with Chicago, in either 1998-99 or 1999-2000. A Hespeler CS Pro 9009 model with "Killer" stamped to stem of the inserted wooden Hespeler blade, the stick retains the original white tape to the handle and black tape to the blade, with Gilmour signing just above the heel in black marker. The stick exhibits light game-use, with some wear to the taped section of blade with a bit of surface chipping to the shaft.
