A veteran of 177 National Football League contests over the course of twelve (12) seasons split between New England, Buffalo and Baltimore, Sam Gash would spend most of his career in Foxborough with the Patriots and would win a Super Bowl in 2000 with the Baltimore Ravens. Selected to the Pro Bowl in 1998 and 1999, offered here is this jersey worn by Gash during the mid-1990s, circa 1995-97. Made by Starter, an NFL Pro Line/Starter brand jock tag is affixed to the front hem along with a size “50” fly tag underneath it. An all-white mostly mesh construction garment, the NFL shield logo has been added to the bottom of the collar above a Patriots wordmark patch while the sleeves, front and reverse have all had Gash’s number “33” sewn on in dual layer red-over-blue tackle twill numerals. Displaying signs of game use via some very light red colour bleed from numerous washings as well as some light fraying to the dazzle twill side inserts and a small hit mark near the left collar bone, overall, the jersey remains in excellent condition. Having had “Gash” spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate, the shoulders of the jersey have been decorated with oversized Patriots logo patches above small Starter brand logos that adorn each sleeve as well. A classic piece from just before the start of the Patriots dynasty run, the piece is accompanied by a Patriots COA.
