This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Playing a combined total of 382 games over their respective junior hockey careers in the Western Hockey League with all but 43 of them spent while wearing the uniform of the Calgary Hitmen, offered here is this collection of two (2) Hitmen game-worn jerseys including one worn by Nathan Strueby in 1996-97 and one worn by Wade Davis in 1997-98. Both made by CCM with CCM and CHL logos embroidered into the reverse hem, the Strueby jersey has a size “54” tag affixed to the inner collar while the Davis caries both “Made in Canada” and size “56” labels. Both done up in a pink, black, grey and white colourway resembling the attire worn by wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart, each jersey features a heavily embroidered Hitmen team crest over the front while the Strueby also sports a Chrysler logo patch. Both having had Strueby and Davis’ numbers sewn to the sleeves and verso’s in dual layer tackle twill numerals, each players respective surname has been spelt out in single layer twill white or black letters across the affixed matching nameplates. Of note, the Strueby jersey shows evidence of multiple former nameplates while the Davis shows evidence of one former plate that was once sewn in place underneath. Both sporting fight straps and team stamps denoting the year that they were worn over the interior reverse hem, both jerseys exhibit good game-wear through things like stick marks, board burns, unrepaired cuts/holes, coloured board paint transfers throughout the body and sleeves with pilling on the interior. Of note, staining is also seen in areas of each jersey as well. A great pairing of early Hitmen jerseys sure to add to your collection.
