An IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships gold medalist with Canada after being drafted 6th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 2014 and registered 100 points in 317 games played with the club between 2015 and 2021. Offered here, we present this photo-matched Canucks jersey worn by Virtanen during the 2017-18 National Hockey League season from December 17th, 2017 to April 7th, 2018. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "58" designations resides over the inner collar while the front and reverse necklines have been accented with the crests of the NHL shield and Adidas. Decorated over the front with a Canucks orca whale team crest that features both embroidered and textured details, "Vancouver" is spelt out above in single layer blue twill letters that have been placed in an arch over the logo. Having had matching alternate logo patches added over both shoulders, the sleeves and verso have had Virtanen's number "18" sewn on in single layer blue twill letters while "Virtanen" is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the reverse. Displaying a Canucks team tag that denotes the jersey as a "2017-18 Set 2 Road" offering heat pressed above the fight strap on the interior, the garment exhibits game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves with the latter also sporting board burns over both as well. Additionally, a small unrepaired hole is present under the numbers on the right sleeve in the spot where the NHL's 100th Anniversary patch was once affixed before being removed by the team with the outline still able to be made out. Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #946305520 (April 7th, 2018 vs Edmonton) to the stick mark near Virtanen's left shoulder. A matching Canucks COA will accompany the piece.
