Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Nice 2002 CFL Ottawa Renegades black gamer worn by wide receiver Jimmy Oliver in the Renegades inaugural season, 2002. Oliver, who had spent the previous three seasons with the BC Lions, would enjoy a banner season with the 2002 Renegades, playing 18 games with 82 catches for 1004 yards. These Oliver game-used jerseys are tagged in the collar as “02-44” (year and size), with a “Molson” patch sewn on the left breast of the away jersey and the Renegades logo screened on the sleeves of each jersey. There are also CFL logos sewn to the front collars, with "85" to the front, reverse and shoulders of both jerseys in tackle twill. The away jersey has marks that are noticeable on both the front and back of the jersey, while the home specimen has marks on the front and back numbers. The Renegades were founded in 2002 after the city had lost their fabled Rough Riders franchise seven years prior, and suspended play after just four seasons.
