Regarded as the last heavyweight fighter to lace up his skates and protect his teammates in the National Hockey League, Brian McGrattan hold the AHL record for most penalty minutes in one season, recording 551 in 2004-05 as a member of the Binghamton Senators. Up for grabs here, is this Senators jersey worn by McGrattan at some point in the early-to-mid-2000s during his three seasons spent playing for Binghamton. Made by SP, both brand and size “58” labeling are affixed to the inner collar while differing AHL league patches have been added over the reverse neckline and hem with the latter joined by an SP crest as well. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that features textured and embroidered details, a M&T Bank sponsorship patch resides over the right breast while a Binghamton alternate logo patch sits over the left shoulder and an Ottawa primary crest over the right. Having had McGrattan’s number “19” sewn to the sleeves and verso in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals, “McGrattan” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate on the reverse. Sporting a customized fight strap on the interior, the jersey exhibits game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves while the sleeves also display wear through unrepaired cuts, board burns, slash marks and coloured board paint transfers. Exhibiting light pilling on the interior, it is also worth pointing out that there is yellowing to the nameplate on the reverse.
