Drafted 145th overall by the Winnipeg Jets at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and becoming the first Czech born player to suit up for the club, Michal Grosek would play 11-years in the National Hockey League to the tune of 526 games played over that time, split between Winnipeg, Buffalo, Chicago, New York and Boston. Offered here, is this Blackhawks jersey worn by Grosek during his short stint with the club in 1999-2000. Made by Pro Player, brand tagging displaying a "Center Ice Authentic Collection" moniker as well as a handwritten black "2" to denote "Set 2" is affixed to the inner collar along with a fly tag that displays a size "54" designation. Having had the logos of both the NHL shield and Pro Player embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a classic and familiar Indian head Blackhawks team crest that features chain-stitched details throughout while the "NHL2000" patch worn by teams throughout the season has been added over the right breast. With Chicago's chain-stitched tomahawk alternate logo patches present over both shoulders, the sleeves and verso of the garment have had Grosek's' number "17" sewn to them in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals while "Grosek" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back. Exhibiting good game-wear despite being worn for only a total of seven (7) games, stick marks are observed over the front, reverse and both sleeves while the latter of the three (3) areas show wear in the form of board burns as well. With coloured paint transfers and a team repair present on the left sleeve, stains are found over the lower front and right elbow while sweat staining is present around the collar. With pilling and the remnants of a price tag style tagging sticker found on the interior, the sticker is affixed inside the outline of the "1" on the reverse and is joined by a "Hawkquarters" team store price tag that is still affixed over the fight strap.
