Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Originally part of the foundation of one of hockey’s most fabled buildings, this brick hails from the famous Chicago Stadium, with the historic utilitarian relic augmented with the signature of the franchise’s best all-time player, deceased HOFer Bobby Hull. Home of the Black Hawks from 1929 until it’s unfortunate demolition in 1994, the building was also home to the Chicago Bulls, who enjoyed residence for over a quarter century. At 4” x 8” and with excessive weight, the brick has a centralized plaque adhered to the side proclaiming its important status including its authenticity as guaranteed by the Chicago Stadium Corporation, with Hull signing to the left in black marker, adding “The Golden Jet” to the right of the plaque. The brick shows expected wear, and we should note that it was originally signed by Hull at our office, with a Classic Auctions LOA to accompany. Hull passed away in January of 2023.
