Originally drafted 72nd overall by the Quebec Nordiques at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft after four (4) seasons with the Michigan State University Spartans in the NCAA where he was awarded the Hobey Baker Award in 1990, Kip Miller would go on to play in 449 National Hockey League contests over the course of his career with eight (8) different franchises. Spending parts of the three (3) seasons with the Penguins in the late-1990s/early-2000s, offered here is this Pittsburgh jersey worn by Miller during the 1999-2000 campaign. Made by Pro Player, brand tagging that includes a "Center Ice Authentic Collection" designation as well as a fly tag displaying a size "52" notation as well as Miller's number "37" penned in black marker ink is affixed to the inner collar while the logos of Pro Player and the NHL have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Penguins team crest that includes textured and embroidered details throughout, the NHL2000 patch worn by all teams during the season has been added over the right breast. Having had Miller's number "37" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer black-over-yellow tackle twill numerals, "Miller" has been spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are observed through the sleeves and body while board burns, pilling and a couple of fabric snags are present over the sleeves as well. Sporting additional wear via a red coloured paint transfer near the right elbow, the interior shows some light pilling at the left elbow while a couple of light spot stains are present throughout as well. Authenticated by MeiGray, their LOA and COR will accompany the piece.
