The 67th overall pick of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Jeff Reese would go on to an NHL career that spanned eleven (11) seasons and saw him suit up in 174 games over that time. The record holder for points during a game by a goaltender with three (3), offered here is this IHL Detroit Vipers jersey worn by Reese during the 1996-97 season including the playoffs and 1997 Turner Cup Finals. Made by Bauer, ProWear and size “56G” tags are affixed to the inner collar both the Bauer and IHL logos have been embroidered over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Vipers team crest that features beautiful embroidered details, the 1997 Turner Cup Finals patch has been added over the right breast. Sporting matching alternate logo patches that sit over each shoulder, the sleeves and verso have had Reese’s number “1” sewn to them in dual layer tackle twill numerals while “Reese” has been spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Showing excellent game-use via puck marks over both sleeves, the front and both shoulders, heavy pilling is seen on the outside of the jersey at the right hip and on the inside of both cuffs. Showing evidence of numerous washings to the fight strap on the interior, an unrepaired cut is seen over the right sleeve while both sleeves have had inserts added to them near the cuff to make them wider.
