Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023

Hailing from a season that saw “Hammerin Hank” register a .322 batting average and slug a league leading 44 home runs that propelled him to the 1957 NL MVP Award, the season also saw him win the only World Series of his career, as a member of the Milwaukee Braves over the New York Yankees in seven (7) games. Up for grabs here is this copy of Aaron’s 1957 Topps baseball card that has earned an esteemed high-grade mark of NM-MT 8 from the graders at PSA after inspection. Shown posing on the front with a bat in his hands, the image of the superstar displays nicely centered over the front and retains nice colours and borders that are only lightly toned, giving the card beautiful eye appeal. Sporting near pack fresh sharpness to all four corners, the write up on the reverse of card #20 tells the tale of how Aaron was the “top batter in the National League in 1956”. Housed comfortably and forever preserved in a PSA holder that exhibits scratches and scuffs over both sides, you can sure sure you and your all-important vintage collection are getting a top end offering as the PSA Population Report shows that only 48 copies of this card have ever been graded higher with none above a MINT 9, wow!
