Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
Issued while the Canadian Football League featured nine clubs, only three teams won the Grey Cup from 1961 to 1965, including Winnipeg (1961 & 1962), Hamilton (1963 & 1965) and BC (1964). This fabulous lot of rarely seen CFL mini nodder / bobble heads totals 9, with Winnipeg, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Hamilton, Ottawa (2, one red, the other green) and Vancouver (BC), along with a second BC doll that appears quite different (the base is somewhat larger with no team decal, with "Lions" painted onto the jersey as opposed to a decal, with a decal to the helmet instead of painted graphics, along with added lion paws). We are missing just Montreal and Saskatchewan for a complete set of 9 teams. Each doll is approx 5", with team decals to the chest and base as mentioned. Regarding condition, the BC and Toronto dolls have chipping to the underside head along with a few hairline cracks, while the Calgary and Winnipeg dolls sport a few hairline cracks to the underside head. The Hamilton, Ottawa and Vancouver dolls show just light wear, while the Edmonton doll has a repaired chips to the underside head, with the head detached (the head still sits in proper position and displays well). This lot and many others in this auction hail from an advanced NHL and CFL nodder/bobbing head collection. The bobbing head not shown in the photos is the green Ottawa Riders version.
