Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
A commonplace in everyday life for majority of Canadians even long after his playing career and death while driving home from a game when he was a member of the Buffalo Sabres in 1974, Tim Horton’s name famously lives on through the coffee and donut shops that bear his name worldwide. Pictured here over the front of his 1958-59 Parkhurst card wearing the blue sweater of the Toronto Maple Leafs, this particular copy of Horton’s 58-59 offering has garnered a grade of NM-MT 8 after being inspected by the graders at PSA. With only 10 other examples of this card having been deemed worthy of a higher grade, the card shows sharp corners, near perfect centering, smooth edges, clean surfaces and gorgeous colours with everything about this 65-year-old specimen standing out to the beholder when held in hand. Housed in a PSA holder that shows light scratches/marks over both sides, don’t let your all-important vintage collection go without this gem of one of hockey’s all-time greatest players!
