Forever popular among vintage enthusiasts, a complete 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee assembly is featured here, containing all the stars and key rookie cards that one would expect it to have with designs that sport a groovy array of colours to behold. An overall VG average contingent, the key rookie card of Ken Dryden is found to be in the range of GOOD and shows a crease along with a border stain while the first-year cardboard of Marcel Dionne and Guy Lafleur are seen as FR to G and G to VG respectively with the Dionne having multiple creases and the Lafleur a crease and some edge damage. For the rest of the notables, cards #50 of Bobby Hull and #195 of Jacques Plante leads the way condition wise, being the vicinity of VG-EX to EX with the Plante showing light corner wear. Followed behind by cards #20 of Phil Esposito, #60 of Gilbert Perreault and #110 of Tony Esposito in the neighbourhood of VG to VG-EX, all three show corner wear as their main flaw. Including a G to VG copy of card #245, Bobby Orr’s trophies card, GOOD to GOOD+ examples include those of 100-Orr (corners and overall wear), 193-Sittler (creases) and 262-Howe (light creases and corner wear while cards seen in the range of FR to G include the likes of 114-Clarke (multiple creases), 251-Orr All-Star (multiple creases) and 263-Beliveau (multiple creases) to round out the notables. With many of the cards making up the set showing corner wear, the examples of 105-Mahovlich and card #198 both have ink on their reverses while some of the other common cards show flaws such as scuffs, tape stains or creases. The checklist cards are both seen as being in the FR to G proximity with #111 showing corner wear and #264 displaying creases. Additionally, the set also comes with a complete low-grade 24-booklet set with wear present on those including things like elastic marks, writing and pen marks, loose pages, folds/creases and various dings. With everything housed in nine-pocket binder pages, a wonderful trip down memory lane awaits our lucky winning bidder.
