Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

In a professional career spanning over two decades, Igor Korolev began play in his native Russia with Dynamo Moscow, and made his NHL debut in 1992-93 with St Louis. Dressing for five NHL clubs throughout his tenure, Korolev would conclude his career back in his homeland with the KHL's Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in 2009-10. From his fourth season in Ontario, we have a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey worn by the Russian star in 2000-01. A clipped label and size "56" fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Koho crests over the bottom hem and reverse neckline respectively. Styled with the classic Leafs team crest, "22" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with alternate crests over each shoulder. With most of the game-wear situated on the sleeves, there are a few marks and burns to each, with three team repairs on the left sleeve. There is also minor pilling to the interior. The "Set 2" team patch resides on the inside hem, with an LOA from the Leafs to accompany.
