A veteran of 776 big league hockey games with both the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, Francis Bouillon's second season of professional hockey saw him suit up for the Quebec Rafales of the IHL during the 1997-98 season, with this Rafales jersey being donned by him during home games that year. A Bauer made garment with brand, “pro” and size “54” labeling affixed to the inner collar, both the Bauer and IHL logos are embroidered into the rear hem while a 30th anniversary professional hockey players association patch is sewn on alongside them. Decorated over the front with a Rafales team crest that sports both textured and embroidered details, the distinguished alternate captain’s “A” is heat pressed on over the left breast under another embroidered Bauer logo and is peeling away from the jersey in areas. With matching alternate logo patches residing over both shoulders, Bouillon's number “22” has been added to the lower front, sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill numerals while “Bouillon” spelt out across the affixed arched nameplate in single layer navy letters across the top of the back. Likely worn for the entire season, the jersey is riddled with game wear throughout the body and sleeves in the form of stick marks, board burns, small unrepaired cuts/holes and coloured board paint transfers. Additionally, pilling is found at the exterior of the left elbow and on the interior at both elbows and the lower reverse.
