Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
One of the rarer dolls of the oddball nodder/bobbing heads produced during the closing era, and the only example to feature a "man face" with band aid over the nose, we offer a desirable Salt Lake City Eagles bobbing head doll. A 7" gold base doll with decals over the chest, verso, sleeve and base, the odd-shaped head remains in gorgeous condition with no visible damage whatsoever, with a bit of wear to the base and sleeve decals, with the verso decal showing about 60% remaining. This example is perfect for any collector looking for a condition upgrade. We should further mention that while this doll is noted as part of the 1967-68 gold base series, the Eagles did not start playing in the WHL until 1969. This lot and many others in this auction hail from an advanced NHL and CFL nodder/bobbing head collection.
Addendum: Upon closer inspection with a blacklight, the head has been repainted, along with part of the uniform.
