Suiting up for Brynäs IF in the Swedish Elite League for a total of 506 games throughout his professional career and winning a gold medal with his home country at the 1994 Winter Olympics, Andreas Dackell would also play 613 NHL games between the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens. Up for grabs here, is the Canadiens vintage style jersey worn by Dackell during the 2003-04 season. Made by CCM and featuring a single size “56” tag affixed to the inner collar, a CCM logo patch has been sewn over the rear hem alongside an embroidered NHL shield emblem. Modeled after the jerseys worn by the Canadiens during the 1945-46 season, the front of the garment is decorated with the famed “CH” crest of Les Canadiens in layered tackle twill with embroidered details while the NHL Vintage Series program patch has been added over the right breast. Accented with Dackell’s number “24” in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Dackell” is spelt out in single layer red twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn for a total of four (4) games (November 25th, 2003 vs Vancouver, December 16th, 2003 vs Boston, January 17th, 2004 vs NY Rangers and February 26th, 2004 at Boston), the jersey shows use via stick marks over the front, both sleeves and reverse, light board burns are seen near the NHL shield at the reverse hem along with a blue coloured board paint transfer mark. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered “B10113” sewn inside the reverse hem, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Vintage Set 2” specimen and is accompanied by a matching LOA. Of note, liquid staining is seen over the right shoulder.
