Representing Russia at numerous tournaments including the World Championships, World Cup and Winter Olympics, Alexander Frolov was drafted by Los Angeles in the first round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, and dressed for just two NHL teams throughout his NHL tenure. From his lone season in Manhattan, we have a photo-matched New York Rangers jersey worn by Frolov in 2010-11, in the months of October, November and December. Made by Reebok and sporting a single size “58” label affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the tie-neck garment with the familiar “Rangers” diagonally down the chest in red-over-white drop-shadow tackle twill letters, the all-important Rangers 85th anniversary patch is sewn over the right shoulder. The sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with "31" in matching style while “Frolov” has been spelt out across the affixed arched nameplate across the top of the reverse. Game-wear is fairly light, with a few faint board burns to the sleeves along with a team repair on the lower left sleeve. Getty Image #106828081 (Nov 14, 2010) has been matched to the extended white thread at the right side of the "G" of "Rangers", with the small white thread bump at the top of the "N" of "Rangers" also visible. An LOA from Steiner will accompany.
