A Stanley Cup champion in 2008 with the Pittsburgh Penguins and a bronze medalist with Team USA at the 2004 IIHF World Championships, Hal Gill retired from the NHL after the 2013-14 season, having played in 1108 games over the course of his 16-year career. Offered here, is this jersey worn by Gill during his 63-game stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2007-08 season. Made by Reebok with a single size “58+” tag affixed to the inner collar, the crests of both the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a familiar Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered into it, the sleeves and verso of the blue and white coloured garment have had Gill’s number “25” sewn to them in tri-layer tackle twill numerals with “Gill” spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting excellent game-wear via numerous board burns, team repairs and unrepaired small holes over both sleeves, additional wear is present via board burns at the left hip hem line and lower reverse, a red board paint transfer at the left elbow and some light pilling on the interior. A MeiGray patch numbered “E08103” is sewn inside the rear hem and according to their population report, the jersey is a “Blue Set 2” specimen and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
