Enjoying an 11-year National Hockey League career spanning 455 games after going undrafted, Jason Williams would play 277 of his NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings, hoisting Lord Stanley’s cup with them during this championship season of 2002. Up for grabs here, is this Red Wings jersey worn by Williams during the 2005-06 season. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size “52” label affixed to the inner collar, the crests of both Reebok and the NHL shield are found over the reverse neckline and rear hem respectively. Decorated over the front with the famed Red Wings winged wheel crest, the sleeves and verso have had Williams’ number “29” sewn to them in single layer white twill numerals while “Williams” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters that are arched across the top of the back and affixed directly to the jersey. Exhibiting good game wear, numerous team repairs are found over both sleeves and the right shoulder along with light board burns and stick marks that are seen over both sleeves and front as well. Additional wear is seen in the form of a stick mark through the reverse number “9” and pilling on the interior. A Red Wings team tag denoting the jersey as a “2005-2006 Authentic Game Jersey 2nd Set” offering is sewn inside the rear hem with a HockeyTown Authentics sticker numbered “36083” affixed alongside. The same inventory number is screened to the rear hem of the jersey beside the NHL shield crest. A matching HockeyTown Authentics COA will accompany.
Having been photo-matched, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #57177483 (March 21st, 2006 vs Nashville) to the one team repair on the right shoulder.
