Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
A first-round draft choice of the Calgary Flames in 2001, Chuck Kobasew first garnered experience with Boston College and in the AHL and WHL. The Osoyoos native would spend parts of four seasons in Alberta before being traded to the Boston Bruins in 2007. This Flames jersey was issued to Kobasew during his rookie season, in 2002-03. A size "54" fly tag is affixed to the collar, with KOHO and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the alternate Flames team crest that saw regular-season use from 2001 to 2003, “7” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with matching team crests over each shoulder. Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in like-new condition. A Meigray tag is affixed to the inside hem, and according to the population report, the jersey is a "Black 2nd Regular Season GI" specimen.
