A Memorial Cup champion in 2005 with his hometown London Knights, Brandon Prust would go on to an NHL career that saw him suit up in 486 games after being selected 70th overall by the Calgary Flames in 2004. Up for grabs here, is this Calgary Flames jersey worn by Prust during the 2005-06 NHL pre-season. Made by Reebok with a lone size “54” tag affixed to the inner collar, crests for both Reebok and the NHL shield reside over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Decorated over the front with the Flames familiar flaming “C” crest in layered tackle twill with matching “Blasty” alternate patches over each shoulder, Calgary’s all-important 25th anniversary patch has been added over the right breast. Having had Prust’s pre-season number “40” sewn to the sleeves and verso in tri-layer tackle twill numerals, “Prust” is spelt out in dual layer red-over-black letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting game-wear via stick marks that are present over the front and both sleeves as well as some light staining under the anniversary patch and between the numbers of the left sleeve, Prust has signed the fight strap on the interior with a red marker ink signature that displays well despite the elastic nature of the fabric. Of note, some green coloured marks/stains are present near the right collarbone as well. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered “C02254” sewn inside the reverse hem along with an additional “2005-2006 Season” patch, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Set 1 – Preseason Only” specimen. A matching LOA will accompany the piece.
