Originally drafted 204th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1999, Tom Kostopoulos would enjoy a career that saw him play in 630 National Hockey League games for Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Montreal, Carolina, Calgary and New Jersey after playing his junior hockey with the London Knights. Also having suited up in over 700 AHL contests in his career, offered here is this Penguins jersey worn by Kostopoulos during the 2002-03 season. Made by CCM and sporting a lone size "54" label affixed to the inner collar that has had Tom's number "36" penned to it in black marker ink by equipment staff, a CCM logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Penguins team crest that features embroidered details throughout, matching alternate logo patches have been placed over each shoulder while the sleeves and verso have had Kostopoulos' number "36" sewn to them in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals. With "Kostopoulos" spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate, the jersey sports good game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves with the latter of those areas also displaying board burns as well. Additionally, the right sleeve has a blue coloured board paint transfer over the elbow while the left sleeve has an unrepaired hole through the first layer of material, also being found at the elbow. Finally, light spot stains are present over both the front and reverse.
