Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
A physical forward/defenseman known for his ability to throw fists, Babe Siebert enjoyed an NHL career that spanned over the course of 14 seasons with the Maroons, Rangers, Bruins and Canadiens. Passing away in the summer of 1939, Siebert was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1964. Up for grabs here is this 2019-20 Upper Deck The Cup Cut Signatures card of the legendary Siebert. Existing in raw and ungraded form, a piece of stick that has been signed by Babe in what appears to be black fountain pen has been cut and embedded over the front of the card with the reverse stating that the autograph was verified by a third-party authenticator. With the signature showing well and fully legible and displaying only a couple areas of lightness, the card itself presents with some minor wear to the surface, edges and corners that is worth noting, putting it in the grade range of EX-MT in our opinions. A beautiful offering from one of hockey’s all-time greats, don’t let this one pass you and your collection by!
