Selected 4th overall by Florida at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Stephen Weiss would play 11 of his 13 years in the league with the Panthers, retiring with what was at the time the most games played in franchise history. Up for grabs here, is this Panthers third jersey worn by Weiss during the 2011-12 season. A Reebok made garment sporting a single size “56” size tag affixed to the inner collar, crests for both the NHL and Reebok accentuate the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a Panthers team crest that features embroidered details, the distinguished alternate captain’s “A” resides over the left breast while matching alternate logo patches are present on top of each shoulder. Weiss’ number “9” has been sewn to the sleeves and verso in single layer white twill numerals with “Weiss” spelt out across the top of the back in matching white twill letters. Exhibiting game-wear via board burns on each sleeve and lower reverse, stick marks are observed near the left cuff and lower front as well as through the left sleeve’s number “9” and small cuts are found at both shoulders. Showing light pilling behind the team crest on the interior, a Panthers team tag denoting the jersey as a “2011-12 Set 1” example is sewn alongside the fight strap with a hologram from the team applied on top and a Panthers LOA accompanying. Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, the jersey Getty Image #140006953 (February 26th, 2012 vs Montreal) to the black stick marks in the bottom white stripping band at Weiss' left hip.
