Playing his final two NHL seasons in Buffalo after a single campaign in Pittsburgh, legendary defenseman Tim Horton saw 55 games with the Sabres in 1973-74 before his fateful accident on Feb 21, 1974. This stick was used by the superstar blueliner during his final NHL season in 1973-74. A Victoriaville model with "T Horton" stamped to the upper shaft and "2" handwritten in black marker, the striping accents are intact, along with the original black tape to the blade and white-over-black on the handle. Very light use is exhibited on the desirable lumber, with some wear minor wear to the shaft and additional light wear over the taped handle. There is also a hole that was drilled through the middle shaft - most likely to mount and display the stick. Getty Image #1411283815 shows Horton using this model of stick, with the goalie in the photo Gary Bromley, who started with the Sabres in 1973-74. Sticks from iconic players like Horton do not make themselves available often. This is a great opportunity for collectors.
