Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/3/2023
A seven-time All-Star, catcher Brian McCann was selected by the Braves in the second round of the 2002 MLB draft, staying with Atlanta until 2013 before his next three season’s spent in New York with the Yankees. We have a Yankees jersey worn by McCann on Jackie Robinson Day in 2014 in a contest against the Cubs on April 16th. Labeling from Majestic along with a size “48” fly tag are affixed to the lower left front tail, with a second Majestic label over the collar with “34 48 ‘14”. The pinstriped button-up has been styled with the familiar NY monogram in navy tackle twill over the left breast, with “42” on verso in matching material. With no obtrusive marks or wear present, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition. A hologram from Major League Baseball (0000004338) has been affixed near the labeling, with an LOA to accompany.
