Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Arguably the most famous baseball bat maker after Hillerich and Bradsby, Spalding started producing bats and baseball equipment in the 1870s, with the company still in business today. Manufactured by the sporting goods giant from 1910 to 1920, we have a Spalding 125S model baseball bat. A full 35", with thick handle and barrel and especially heavy weight, the period Spalding logo is stamped to the fully intact knob, with the logo again burned into the barrel along with the model. The bat shows just light wear and remains in gorgeous condition with no chips, cracks or obtrusive marks. From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
