Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Producing equipment used by American NHL teams during the 1920s and 1930s including the New York Americans, Alex Taylor was the premier Big Apple hockey maker during the era. This full size Alex Taylor paper label one-piece stick made for a forward player is accompanied by a matching era Alex Taylor practice puck. The stick is missing a good portion of the label, with the pinned blade featuring the company logo branded, with the opposite side having "ATCO" stamped for Alex Taylor Company, along with "Forward" and "Right" stamped (for a player that shoots right). The stick shows light wear with a small water stain to the blade. The puck shows light use with a small chip, and has "Alex Taylor Practice" stamped along the edge, with "Made in Canada" on the reverse edge. From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
