Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Close to three dozen crease-free 1951-52 Parkhurst cards (35) highlight this offering, with most in the VG to VG-EX range due to corner/edge wear, with a few a tad better/worse. Most notable and in numerical order are rookie cards of 19-Henry, 63-Delvecchio (VG with a diamond cut), 87-Sloan, 90-Evans and 94-Stanley, as well as 29-Schmidt. Others are listed further down, while sub-VG entries, due to creasing and/or wear or other flaws total an even two dozen and include 1-Lach (P), 10-Harvey RC (P), 14-Geoffrion RC (F), 26-Quackenbush RC (G), 52-The Winning Goal (G), 64-Abel (G) and 75-Broda (G). There is also a little duplication among (21) Parkies from ’52-53, most of them Canadiens and thus some big names. There are two each of 3-Geoffrion (VG, G), 12-McNeil (EX, VG-EX) and 14-Harvey (G+, G), with 6-Lach (VG+) and 10-Dickie Moore RC (G) also noteworthy and the rest of the lineup (VG average) shown in our images. Completing and also shown are nine miscellaneous cards, with four ’54-55 Parkies that include 33-Sawchuk (VG (ST)). As for the aforementioned “other” ’51-52 Parkies in crease-free condition, the group features #s 8, 21, 23, 24, 25, 30-36, 40, 54, 59, 67, 69, 74, 77, 78, 89, 91, 93 (2), 95 (2), 97 and 103 (2). Plenty of options and opportunities await the high bidder here.
