This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
A memorable night in Motown, on November 27th 1960, the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs served as witness and victim to the Detroit Red Wings when Gordie Howe scored two points in the match, with his first point, an assist on Fred Glover's goal at 6:36 of the 1st period, putting him in a class all his own as the lone player in NHL history up to that point to register 1,000 points in their career. This Detroit Olympia ticket stub allowed one lucky fan to witness history being made! The stub lists the date, price and venue, with this the Red Wings 11th home game of the season. Additionally, the game was special for Terry Sawchuk as a comeback of sorts, earning his 83rd career shutout while also assisting on Detroit's second goal. The game is written about in David Dupuis' book regarding Sawchuk. From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
