Quite possibly the greatest defenseman to ever play in the National Hockey League despite his relatively short career, Bobby Orr would win eight straight Norris Trophy’s and lead the Boston Bruins to two Stanley Cups. Offered here, is this jersey that has been signed by the 1979 HHOF inductee. A Mitchell & Ness made offering of heavy durene material; the jersey is a replica of the one worn by the Bruins during their Cup winning season of 1971-72. Decorated over the front with the famed spoked “B” crest of the Bruins in layered tackle twill, Orr’s number “4” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in yellow-over-white tackle twill. Remaining in new condition with the tags still affixed to the inner collar, Orr has signed the size “48” garment with a black ink signature over the back number “4” that displays well with light bleeding present. The outline of a former sticker is seen underneath the autograph at the bottom of the number, with the jersey accompanied by a JSA LOA.
