The first netminder in NHL history to register 300 wins, Turk Broda backstopped the Toronto Maple Leafs for 14 seasons and earned two Vezina Trophies along with 5 Stanley Cup championships. Hailing from Brandon, Manitoba, Riding Mountain National Park is only 1 hour from the city, and this cabinet photo pictures Broda with the park's hockey team in 1932-33 before his NHL debut. At approx 9" x 12", the full on-ice shot shows Broda front and center, at just 18 years-of-age. Framed to full dimensions of 13" x 16, the photo survives in gorgeous condition. This is the only example of this image Classic Auctions has ever offered or seen. From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
